Gabion box is also called gabion basket,gabion mattress,which is made of galvanized wire/ZnAl(Galfan)coated wire/PVC or PE coated wires,the mesh is hexagonal shape. Hexagonal gabions are mesh containers made outofhexagonal galvanized steel wire. The wire diameter varies with the hexagonal nettings, range from 2.0mm to 3.0mm for hexagonal wire netting without PVC coating. For PVC coated hexagonal wire netting, the outside diameter rangesfrom 3 0mm to 4.0mm. The wire of the outside frame edge is one wiregauge thickerthan the wire used for hexagonal wire netting.
